4 Beers to Pair with Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just a matter of days away now. Hosting and need a fun way to impress your guests? Do a beer and pie tasting! Pair these beers with these pies, and this pairing will be one for the books (and requested for next year!).

Lemon Meringue Pie– Epic Brewing’s Citralush NEIPA

Prepare for a citrus explosion with this pairing! The hops are very nuanced in this IPA- style and will compliment nicely with the sweet Meyer lemon flavor.

Pumpkin Pie–High Water’s Aphotic Imperial Porter w/ Coffee

This dark, bitter porter compliments both the sweet and savory elements of a delicious slice of homemade pumpkin pie. The two will melt into perfect harmony with every sip and taste.

Apple Pie–Pizza Port’s Chronic Amber Ale

The sweet malty notes of this amber beer will compliment the caramel and cinnamon flavors in every sip. The hops will cut thru, and add a little more depth to both the pie and beer.

Berry Pie–2 Towns’ Made Marion Cider

It never hurts to pair similar flavors. Pair this blackberry cider with any berry pie and it will amplify the sweet and tart notes in every sip. Which one will be the star? The pie or the cider. You’ll have to tell us!

If you’re too full for dessert, skip it! Go straight for a bottle of High Water’s Sugaree Maple Pecan Pie. This dark ale evokes Thanksgiving and a homemade pie in every bite. Your guests will definitely love this one regardless of what they may pair with it.

From all of us at Delta Pacific, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Cheers!
